Pastor Jimmy & Deborah Caneup

Hi Everyone,

I know this is very lengthy...but after reading my thoughts...read on to the following teaching of Al Thomas...this mans teaching is awesome!

If you go to VTTN you have been hearing a lot of this lately especially this part: The Olive Tree is a Very Slow Growing Tree. It goes right along with Bishop's H2H teaching this month.

If you were at our house for H2H our discussion took us to Acts chapter 7. Talking about promises and callings. We spoke of Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist. We spoke of how Moses according to Acts chapter 7 verse 25 how he knew that he was going to deliver God's people as a young man in Egypt...he had the zeal at that time but he wasn't ready. He went about to do it his own way and ended up in the wilderness for 40 years until God came to him to give him HIS plan to deliver Israel. By that time he had learned to humble himself before God, he even argued with God that he wasn't able. God showed him it wasn't by might nor by power but by HIS Spirit! We talked about Abraham and Sarah having to wait on a promise of a son and deciding not to wait on God and do things their own way...hence we have an Ishmael...the Muslim/Arab nation.

People it is very important that we don't get ahead of God...his timing is not the same as ours. John the Baptist was in the wilderness until his showing forth to Israel although he was called and anointed from his mothers womb. We may have the call...but wait on His perfect timing and we will spare ourselves of embarrassment and walk like John the Baptist knowing what the call and plan of God is, and not having to run in shame or deal with an Ishmael...

Jimmy has spoken many times of the Elijah Anointing...and the olive trees from Zech chapter 4:11 and Revelation 11:4. So to me this is confirmation of the word you have been hearing from VTTN.

Don't you love the way God give confirmation of the Word to his people! I do!

I will say one more thing...in waiting it doesn't mean sit on your rear and do nothing! It means to get prepared...study to show your self approved of God! It means to spend time with God in prayer and in His Word - our training manual, or guess what...you may still find yourself embarrassed and ashamed - Rev 3:17 and Rev 16:15. I want to walk in the James 1:4 blessing... But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Here are a few more verses I like:

2 Corinthians 5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Walk in Peace, Love and Kingdom Blessings,

Deborah
